Sunday Minute – January 13, 2019
Good evening, this is Mrs. Stevens, with this week’s Sunday Minute!
You should have received a message from the District this evening, informing you that the teacher strike will begin tomorrow. Our teachers will be participating in the strike.
With that being said, I wanted to touch base with you to make you aware of a few things. Tomorrow we will only have one valet service available at the Superior Street Gate. The Topeka Drive/ Main office Gate will be open as well. Since rain is expected, students will be directed to the auditorium. Please note, that there is NO Loading or Unloading in the Bus zone. This area must be clear for the safe transport of our students who ride the bus. Therefore, please plan to park legally within in the neighborhood and walk your child to the auditorium.
Like the district message said, school will be open and operating on our regular time schedule -8:00AM to 2:28PM. For dismissal, please note that all TK through 2nd grade students will be dismissed from the auditorium. Parents/guardians please expect a wait and bring your ID. While 3rd-5th will be dismissed from rooms 31-34.
*There is a Work stoppage/strike hotline for parents/guardians that will be activated tomorrow. The number is 1-213-443-1300 available 6am-4pm.
That’s it for today. Talk to you soon.
