Parents, please join us this Wednesday at 8:15AM in the library, as we learn more about how number talks help your child learn math, have a strong command of number sense, and boosts their success around academic conversations in Math.
Kinder Tour Friday 4/5 @ 8:15AM
Come learn more about what our Kinder program has to offer. Join us this Friday, April 5th at 8:15AM for our first of two Kinder Tours. Because we will be visiting the classrooms during the instructional day, please do not bring children or infants.
Various Fundraising Opportunities
Families, did you know that we offer a variety of ways to fundraise so that our very diverse families can find their own way to partner with the school. For example, do you know a realtor, flooring expert, dentist, business owner, etc that would like to become a community partner and have some recognition or advertisement on our webpage? If so, please stop by the office and pick up a 1 to 1 Fundraiser card that explains what the professional can do to become a partner and contribute to our students 21st Century learning. All you would have to do as the parent, is give the professional the card. Please check our 1 to 1 website page to celebrate those who’ve already contributed https://topekadrive.com/1to1.
Thursday 4/4 and Friday 4/5 PTA Dine Out @ Menchies
There is another way to fundraise that involves some dessert with the family. This month’s PTA Dine Out will be both this Thursday and Friday, at Menchies, in Chatsworth, near the Pacific Theaters. Twenty percent of the purchases will be donated back to Topeka Drive PTA. Check the eBackpack to find out how you might be able to win a Menchie’s cake.
Candy Land Family Dance & Silent Auction Friday, 4/26
Mark your calendar for our annual Family Dance, which will be held Friday, April 26th. The dance will begin with our sensory sensitive activities from 5:30-6:00 and all other activities to continue until 8:00PM. Please see the ebackpack for ticket details, and if you have a donation or would like to be a part of the “Family Dance” Silent Auction team, please contact: Jennifer Grooms atPtawaysandmeans@topekadrive.com. Silent Auction items are due by Monday, April 22, 2019.
Students, this week we will focus on ‘BEING RESPONSIBLE’. I want to challenge you to think of ways to be responsible and set a goal for yourself.
Special thanks to the family of Lauren C. of room 20, for your donation to our Character Counts Treasure Box. Your partnership is truly appreciated!
