Sunday Minute – June 2, 2019

Good evening. This is Mrs. Stevens, with this week’s Sunday Minute!

Big Thank You to our Valet Team

All year long we have been blessed with the smiles and consistent service of our very faithful valet volunteers. These fierce ladies volunteer their mornings come rain or shine. I want to thank Miss Jennifer our valet volunteer lead and her team, Miss Shami, Miss Jyoung, Miss Amy Darcy, and Miss Daisy for your selfless service. Thank you for loving our students and welcoming them with a smile each day. You’ve made a big difference.

I also would like to extend a big thank you to our PTA. Your tireless efforts have provided our teachers and students with so much. For example

  • grade level planning time each Friday by funding our YMCA psychomotor time
  • unlimited access to Mystery Science used in every classroom
  • computer and homework club
  • multiple chrome book carts for our students
  • the accelerated reader, IXL, and other electronic educational programs
  • teacher supplies and field trip busses
  • spirit wear
  • family and community events

And so much more. Thank you for being true partners in the vision and mission of Topeka Charter SAS. You are a huge part of our students’ success.

5th Grade Culmination Thursday 6/7 @ 8:30

Our 5th grade culmination will be this Thursday, beginning at 8:30am.  There will be some seats sets aside for disabled family members, random names will be drawn per 5th grade class for a chance at front row seats, and our 5th grade committee volunteers will also have some reserved front row seats. Because we will have a schoolwide culmination rehearsal on Wednesday, no Topeka siblings will be pulled from class for the Parent ceremony on Thursday. Please be reminded that NO BALLOONS will be permitted on campus to make sure we can provide the best view possible for everyone. Thank you in advance for thinking of others and making this day about our 5th graders.

Minimum Days Thursday 6/6  and Friday 6/7 Dismissal at 12:33PM

Please be reminded that both Thursday and Friday are Minimum days. Students will be dismissed at 12:33PM.

PBIS—Be Responsible

This week we continue to focus on responsibility.  Boys and Girls, it is your responsibility to control your choices, words, actions and reactions.  Let’s choose to do the things that make ourselves and others better.
