Sunday Minute – December 8, 2019

Good evening. This is Mrs. Stevens, with this week’s Sunday Minute.

Granada Hills Holiday Parade

Thank you to the families that walked with Coach Jackie (YMCA Director), and the families that walked with Board member Schmerelson’s team, Superintendent Nacorda and me during the Granada Hills Parade!  Your participation – rain or shine is commendable.  I also want to shout out the Topeka families we saw along the parade route.  The love and support was invigorating!

School Experience Survey Thank you

Another thank you goes out to all parents, students and staff who completed the School Experience Survey.  We look forward to hearing your input.

No parking in the Staff Parking Lot

In preparation for Thursday and Friday, please allow time to find street parking.  There will be no parking in the Staff Parking lot, and please avoid parking in front of the school on Topeka Drive, as that is a signed bus loading zone only.

5th Grade PTA Committee- Winter Grams

In leu of a Holiday Shop, our 5th grade Committee is now selling Winter Grams at all gates, before and after school. You may also buy a gram during recess and lunch.  Help support the 5th grade by sending a friendly message, with a special pencil and eraser, to wish your friend or class a Happy Winter Holiday.

SWPBIS- Caring

Part of our school’s vision is to be a community that creates a culture of care.  I want to extend the challenge to look for ways to care for someone else. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world. If we all focus on caring for others, then everyone gets a little bit of care each day!

That’s it for this week’s news from school.  Have a tigerrific evening.
