PARENTS-Return to School Program Selection Form
On Friday, November 20, you should have received a phone message from the District informing you of the Return to Campus - Program Selection Form and regarding a physical copy of the Family Guide being mailed to your home. Please review the Return to Campus Family Guide using the link in the email version of this message. here . This family guide gives you more information on the models of instruction once we return to school.
An online Survey and Program Selection Form is now available digitally. This selection form is intended to gather information about your choice for instructional models for your child(ren) when students are able to physically return to campus – the options you select will be binding until we hear otherwise, and will inform programming at our school.
We ask that all families complete this program selection form https://reopening.lausd.net/es/FamilySelection for each child by Sunday, December 6. Note that the first page, of the form, will ask for survey-like information, please complete the required fields, click submit at the bottom, and then you will get another page to select your program. Please have your child (dren)’s student ID #.
Parent Center Tip #4: Building Empathy with Stories
Finally, our Parent Center Tip #4 is all about building empathy with stories. Empathic kids can put themselves in someone else’s shoes. It also allows them to develop other caring character strengths, such as compassion and gratitude. During this Thanksgiving season, let’s spend time helping our Topeka Tigers develop both gratitude for their many blessings and empathy for those around them.
Explore some great books that promote empathy using the link in the email version of this message.

That’s it for this week’s new from school. Have a tigerrific evening!
