PARENTS-Return to School Program Selection Form

Speaking of the Return to School Plan, by now you should have received an electronic and a physical copy of the Family Guide sent to you. Please review it.  If you have not received it, you may use the link in the email version of this message here . This family guide gives you more information on the models of instruction that will be available once we return to school.

We ask that all families complete the program selection form, located in the Family Guide for each child by Sunday, December 6. Note that the first page, of the form, will ask for survey-like information, please complete the required fields, click submit at the bottom, and then you will get another page to select your program.  The options you select will be binding until we hear otherwise, and will inform programming at our school. When completing the form, please have your child (dren)’s student ID # available.

Parent Center Tip #4: Building Empathy with Stories

Finally, our Parent Center Tip #4 is all about building empathy with stories.  Empathic kids can put themselves in someone else’s shoes.  It also allows them to develop other caring character strengths, such as compassion and gratitude.  During this Thanksgiving season, let’s spend time helping our Topeka Tigers develop both gratitude for their many blessings and empathy for those around them.

Explore some great books that promote empathy using the link in the email version of this message.

That’s it for this week’s new from school.  Have a tigerrific evening!
