School Experience Survey Complete and Enter A Drawing
Families, let us know what you think about your child’s school experiences. The School Experience Survey window is open. We would love to hear from everyone! To complete the survey, go to http://achieve.lausd.net/SchoolExperienceSurvey or click the link in the email version of this message. Please be sure to keep a copy or screen shot of the ‘thank you/confirmation of completion’ once you are done. With that you will be able to get your name entered into a drawing. Details for submitting your name for the drawing are in the e-Backpack and on the Parent Page of our website.
Choices Application Window Deadline Extended to 11/20
Parents, don’t forget that the School Choices Application window closes on November 20, 2020. YOU MUST complete a choices application for your incoming child/children, if you are attending Topeka via the lottery. Sibling preference will only be given to those students whose Lottery application was submitted on or BEFORE November 20th. All late applications will be placed on the waiting list WITHOUT sibling preference.
Parent Center Tip of the Week #3
Why talk about racism? Talking about racism helps to answer children’s often hard questions about race and unfair treatment of people based on the color of their skin. It can also help us all learn what we can do to make our diverse world equitable and fair for all. Join us as we watch: The Power of We- A Sesame Street Special. Learn to be ‘upstanders’ to unfair treatment based on skin or fur color.
That’s it for this week’s news from school, have a tigerrific evening.
