A Letter From Our PTA President SHELLY BEDIG
Hello Topeka Families! My name is Shelly Bedig, and I am honored to be your Topeka PTA President this year along with an amazing group of parent volunteers, a dedicated PTA Executive Board, wonderful teachers and staff.
During this unprecedented time of distance learning due to COVID-19, our PTA is still as committed as ever to help our school with it’s mission statement by making it a fun year for our students, and build our Topeka community. We are being creative with our fundraising efforts, and doing our best to do some of the traditional fundraisers to help raise money for our school.
Topeka’s Tiger Fund is our direct ask campaign and we are looking to participation from Topeka families. 100% of the money donated to Tiger Fund stays at the school and no donation is too big or too small. Along with Tiger Fund, we have other fundraisers planned such as Tiger Trot, Original Artworks, Dine Outs, Birthday Packages and various other events structured to keep us all safe. Funds raised help to pay for services and programs at Topeka such as our new Computerwise Instructor, our new Maker Space, various enrichment programs, teacher instructional supplies, purchasing equipment/supplies for the school office, software upgrades and many other items that are vital for teaching our students. We value your support and welcome you to volunteer whenever you can. Our goals for this year include but are not limited to increasing instruction in the arts & sciences, and keeping our students active. Together we can achieve these goals and much more!
We encourage all of your to become members of Topeka’s PTA. Our meetings are once a month, take place in the evening and are done virtually. It’s good to stay posted on school events, share ideas, make your voice heard, and have input on how the PTA’s money is spent. Our PTA team looks forward to meeting all of you and working together to make this an unforgettable year!
Sincerely,
Shelly Bedig
