A LETTER FROM OUR PTA PRESIDENT, TIFFANY OSBORNE
Welcome back to all of our returning families and a huge WELCOME to all our new Tigers joining us this year. We are very excited to start the new school year! I am honored to be your PTA President this year along with an amazing group of parent volunteers, a dedicated PTA Executive Board, wonderful teachers and staff. Together we have planned a fun year for the students that will not only bring us together as a community but will also help us achieve our goals.
Tiger Fund is our direct ask campaign and we are looking to have 100% participation. 100% of the money raised through Tiger Fund stays at the school and no donation is too big or too small. Along with Tiger Fund, we have other fundraisers planned such as Tiger Trot, Movie Nights, Hoopfest, Candy sales and various other events you will hear more about throughout the year. Funds raised through these programs help to pay for services and programs at Topeka such as Psychomotor (PE), Field Trips, Teacher instructional supplies, Homework Club, Computer Lab, purchasing equipment/supplies for the office, software upgrades and many other items that are vital for teaching our students. We value your support and donations and we also welcome all of you to volunteer. Whether you can spend some time in the classroom, help out as a safety valet or help make our garden beautiful and ready for educational programs, it makes a huge difference and helps our school thrive! Our goals for this year include but are not limited to increasing instruction in the arts & sciences, providing the teachers with more equipment and supplies and increasing the technology provided in the classrooms. Together we can achieve these goals and much more!
We encourage all of you to become members of the PTA. Our meetings are once a month and alternate from morning to evening each month to accommodate all schedules. Childcare is provided for all evening meetings as well. Make your voice heard and join us, our first meeting will be held on August 21st at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. I look forward to meeting all of you and working together to make this an amazing year!
