Welcome to Topeka Charter School for Advanced Studies, where we engage the genius in all of our Tigers and create a culture of care! Preparing our scholars for the world today, requires the partnership of all adults in their lives. We want to encourage all parents to participate in our organized parent groups like, Governance Council, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). Your voice, time, ideas, etc. are needed in our community, and help to ensure a successful year for our scholars. We welcome you to participate at our school. The most needed and easiest way to participate is through our Volunteer Program and PTA. Please complete a volunteer application (https://achieve.lausd.net/Page/10443). In addition, join us for regularly scheduled events like, Coffee with the Principal (2 times monthly chat with Principal), Tiger Community Assemblies (once a week where parents, students, and staff participate in a morning assembly), PTA events, and much more. Throughout the year, we want you to stay informed about school activities. Please be sure to check the school’s calendar (website and paper version), listen to the Sunday Minute (script version of the message is also posted on the website in the 'What's New' section each week), review the E-Backpack (sent every Thursday and posted on the website in the 'What's New' section), and communication from your classroom teacher along with our parent organizations. Again, It is our aim to equip our students to be critical thinkers who will be prepared for both the highly competitive 21st century college and career worlds. TOGETHER, through collaboration, instructional excellence, innovation and creative partnerships, the Topeka community will engage the GENIUS in all of our students and create a culture of care!
